AA Rosettes are given to establishments serving
exceptionally high quality food. They are awarded to the best
local restaurants which aim for and achieve higher standards,
better consistency and where a greater precision is apparent in
the cooking. There is obvious attention to the selection of
quality ingredients. To gain this award you need innovation along
with great technical skills and consistency along with an
excellent judgement in combining and balancing ingredients. |

provided in a fully-licensed establishment. The bar will be open
to non-residents and provide food in the evenings.
Attentive, more
personalised service. At least half of the bedrooms are ensuite or
have private bathrooms. Very good beds and high quality furniture.
Breakfast offers a greater choice, and fresh ingredients are
cooked and presented with a high level of care.

The West Arms was hand picked as one of 4
finalists in the Best Seafood Pub of the Year 2007 awards held on
22nd March 2007 in London. Just short of winning the category
overall The West Arms was commended for its outstanding seafood
dishes.

The AA Seafood of the Year Awards for 2005/06 have been
presented to restaurants and pubs throughout the UK for the
diverse range of delicious seafood dishes that they offer. All
of the winners impressed the judges with their excellent use of
seafood in their menus and dedication to serving the finest fish
and shellfish dishes in the country. We were the only
establishment in Wales to win this Seafood award. |

and came in runner-up. Still an impressive achievement being
located in the valleys of North Wales. |
