During your stay at The West Arms Hotel, why not take a walk in the beautiful surroundings of the Ceiriog Valley. The hotel has walking maps to suit all requirements, from a gentle meander to a more serious hike.

For those who are feeling adventurous we can arrange for a walking guide to show the breathtaking hot spots of the Berwyn Mountains and the abundance of wildlife, ranging from Pheasants to Kestrels and Buzzards and for the lucky ones you may even catch a glimpse of a Red Kite or a Peregrine Falcon!

Walking packages are available to include all aspects of your stay ~ packed lunches, dinner, bed and breakfast.

The Ceiriog Valley is the perfect spot for all abilities of cyclist, whether you prefer the high speed of road riding or the rough terrain of the off-road scene there is something for everyone.

The quiet roads are perfect for an enjoyable trip around the country lanes and for the super fit there are a few 1 in 3 climbs to tackle!

The mountain bike routes are in abundance and will certainly get the heart racing, rocky terrain and plenty of mud will defiantly provide a thrill.
